This is a more than 100-year-old drill press that has been painstakingly restored by hand and converted into a table. The tabletop, which has a diameter of 80cm, is attached to the machine's existing drill plate with 4 screws. These machines are predestined to serve as tables, as the top can be adjusted in height and rotated by 360°.
The tabletop was created from oak slats in a so-called "herringbone pattern." Each individual slat was glued and cut to size by hand onto a base plate.
Where the drill bit once emerged, there is now a lamp that creates a romantic atmosphere in the dark.
