A passion for vintage sewing machines and extraordinary fabrics!

This was the reason Michael Cerny began designing and sewing men's waistcoats.

In his workshop, he creates unique waistcoats using very high-quality fabrics. These are designed and sewn with absolute precision and craftsmanship.

This particular piece is a men's waistcoat made from the incredibly durable cotton twill used to make Swiss Army jackets in the 50s and 60s. Often referred to as "Swiss Denim." For this, we disassemble these old jackets and use the usable parts for new waistcoats.

As a contrast, we used leather from retired vaulting horses or gymnastic boxes, as we remember them from physical education classes. The leather features a dreamy patina and pairs perfectly with the fabric of the old jackets.

The lining is a red cotton canvas. Brass buttons.

These waistcoats are sewn on old, sometimes even historic sewing machines, several of which can be found in our workshop. You can find the matching belt among our leather goods.

We are happy to customize the waistcoats to your measurements should standard sizes not fit.

We also craft waistcoats using your own preferred fabrics and colors.

The waistcoat is made to order. Duration approx. 1-2 weeks. Care instructions are included so that you can enjoy this unique piece for a long time.
