It is available with various \u003cstrong\u003e\"raw denim\"\u003c\/strong\u003e fabrics from Japan. \u003cstrong\u003eSelvedge denim and twill from Japan are considered the absolute gold standard of denim fabrics worldwide. \u003c\/strong\u003e The word \"selvedge\" is derived from \"self-edge.\" It describes denim that is woven slowly on traditional, old shuttle looms. Regions like \u003cstrong\u003eKojima in Okayama\u003c\/strong\u003e thus became the global epicenter for high-end denim.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThis high-quality belt is crafted in 3 layers. \u003c\/strong\u003eFirst, a vegetable-tanned full-grain leather strap with a thickness of 2mm and a width of 3.9cm. The denim fabric was glued onto this, then the whole piece was pressed into a mold in order to be able to glue the final layer, the leather side strips, on straight. The adhesive used is a natural starch-based glue, which is only intended to fix the fabric and the side strips in place.\u003cstrong\u003e \u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSubsequently, everything was sewn together on our ADLER saddle sewing machine from 1928. The belt loop was made using the same principle and rounds off the whole piece. \u003cstrong\u003eThe hole reinforcement\u003c\/strong\u003e was sewn by hand with waxed thread using a saddle stitch, which makes the seam incredibly stable and robust.
